Dr. Emily Campbell is originally a Northern Minnesota native, who relocated to the Tahoe region in 2021 when looking for a change of scenery. She completed her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Minnesota. She also had the pleasure of completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota. After graduating she moved to the Sierra Nevada Foothills and completed an intensive small animal rotating internship for 1 year. During veterinary school Dr. Campbell became very involved in the sled dog medicine and canine sports medicine community. Her other professional areas of interest include surgery and wound management.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Campbell prefers to spend her time skiing, snowshoeing, traveling or volunteering. She spends much of her free time in Alaska working on the veterinary teams for long distance sled dog races, such as the Yukon Quest.
