Every ultrasound at Animal Emergency & Specialty Center is performed by one of our specially-trained veterinarians using state-of-the-art equipment at our facility. Ultrasound is a safe, noninvasive, and painless procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce a real-time image of your dog or cat’s internal organs.
We use ultrasound for a variety of diagnostics to provide a better view of the internal organs such as the liver, spleen, kidneys, and lymph nodes. Some pets do require sedation for Ultrasounds, but our veterinarians will discuss this with you and your family. Ultrasounds can quickly help us identify and locate tumors, cysts, stones, and inflammation.
Animal Emergency & Specialty Center emergency room is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If your pet has experienced a trauma, or needs immediate emergency veterinary care, please come directly to our facility at 6425 S. Virginia St., Reno, NV 89511
