Dr. Ashley Stucky grew up in Truckee, CA. commuting to the Reno-Sparks area daily and is a graduate of Reed High School. She attended the University of Kansas on a Track and Field scholarship and then obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2006 from Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Stucky and her husband moved back to Reno where she worked at a general practice hospital. During this time she also interned at Animal Emergency and Specialty Center (AESC). She quickly realized that emergency and critical care medicine were her passions and left general practice to join the AESC team full time. Dr. Stucky is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Nevada Veterinary Medical Association, and Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. She has developed a special focus in oncology with other interests that include soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. Her leisure time is spent with her husband and two children, camping, cooking, gardening, exercising, and also relaxing with their cat Gracie.
