Dr. Wilson obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, cum laude, from The Ohio State University in 1985. Over the past 32 years, he has accumulated a wide range of companion animal practice and management experience. He practiced small animal medicine in Carson City, Nevada and Atascadero, California before starting his emergency career in Stockton, California., In 1992, he returned to Reno and helped start the Animal Emergency and Specialty Center (AESC), serving as hospital administrator, member of the board of directors, and emergency clinician. He concurrently practiced small animal medicine at a local veterinary hospital from 1996-2006, and since 2006 has exclusively served as hospital administrator for AESC. Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Nevada Veterinary Medical Association. He has served many roles and committee positions for the Nevada Veterinary Managers Association. Dr. Wilson’s area of special interest is veterinary practice management and development. In his spare time, Dr. Wilson enjoys anything to do with the wonderful Nevada outdoors, especially wildlife conservation volunteering. His definition of a perfect day is spending time with family and friends backpacking and fishing.
